Becca Cleary
Hello! My name is Becca Cleary and it’s a pleasure to be your Client Service Manager at 9 to 5 Pets. I moved to Jacksonville in August 2021 with my boyfriend, and have loved every minute since. From the activities and events, to the people we have met, we couldn’t ask for more. I have two pets who are my absolute world. We rescued my orange tabby 3 days into living here, and got our black lab mix Luna on New Year’s Day this year! I played sports growing up and have now transitioned to marathon training and golf. Wish me luck as my first marathon is January 2023!
I decided to join 9 to 5 Pets because I was looking to add something new, exciting and rewarding to my day-to-day life. Plus I love animals! I have a Bachelor of Science degree as well as a Master in Business Administration and am an account manager for a publisher currently, which will help me excel in this role as well. I’m looking forward to working with you all to make sure your fur babies are taken care of by our team.
Kim McCune
Hello! My name is Kim McCune. I am so excited to have the role of Field Team Manager and Recruiter with 9 to 5 Pets! My family and I are originally from Tennessee but we’ve lived in the beaches area of Jacksonville for 26 years now and I consider myself a local! I have three amazing kids that I’ve raised here; my oldest daughter has flown the coop but my son and youngest daughter live with me. We love our beach lifestyle!
Growing up, my mom called me ‘Ellie May Clampett’ since I would come home with all kinds of ‘lost’ creatures from snapping turtles, snakes, raccoons, foxes, birds, rabbits; you name it I’ve had it! We currently have three pups; Tank who is a 14 yr old 7lb poodle mix rescue, Brisket an 8 yr old feisty Chihuahua mix rescue and Karma a 1 yr old giant Doodle floof. Our kitties are all rescues as well; Chloe who is 17, Ruby is 9 and Copper is 9 months. Never a dull moment in our house!
My position with 9 to 5 Pets gives me the opportunity to do 2 things I enjoy most: meeting new people and their pets and training our teammates in the field. My former career in the railroad industry will allow me to put my experience to great use with 9 to 5 Pets. I began as a Customer Service Representative and worked up to my last role as a manager of a specialized group of 5 in Transport Technology. My role was to meet and train all of our customers and crew on our web based rail management system. I loved meeting and helping people from all types of backgrounds! I also conducted interviews, held town hall meetings for new customers and led training classes for employees. I left the railroad in order to be closer to home for my youngest daughter who is special needs. This new path enables me to do what I love and still dedicate time to my kiddo!
I am so excited to join the 9 to 5 Pets family! I look forward to working with everyone and helping to make sure our clients have the best pet care experience possible!
Jen Williams
Hello. My name is Jen Williams and I am honored to be a part of the 9 to 5 Pets team as a Client Service Manager Assistant. I relocated to the area last October to reside closer to my family. I am originally from Maryland where I have lived the majority of my life enjoying the Chesapeake Bay area and surrounding farm country. I have a son and two young grandboys that have lived locally in Jacksonville for 10 years.
I have been a lifelong dog mom and love all animals in general. Ten plus years ago I rescued a Chow/Chihuahua mix that I named Marley and have loved him into his old age. The last three years I have enjoyed being an in-home pet caregiver providing nurturing for family fur members. I’m also currently a patient transport care specialist which I enjoy as I have the opportunity to help others in need. In addition I possess an extensive background as a client service manager within a diversity of business atmospheres.
In my free time I am family oriented and enjoy making memories with my grandboys. I love exploring nature and the surrounding areas of Jacksonville. I have always loved the ocean and spend my time there frequently. One of my passions is pet and nature photography and am currently working to expand my knowledge in that field.
I am excited to join the 9 to 5 Pets family! I look forward to the opportunity to support the team who makes such a positive difference in people’s lives by giving top notch care for their furry family members as well as providing the best care for our current and future clients.
Peggy Sammarco
Hello! My name is Peggy Sammarco and I am a mother of one fantastic son Michael. I lived in Jacksonville for 12 years and moved back up North to be with family for a couple of years. However my heart belongs here in Jacksonville! I moved down in March 2020 to Ponte Vedra working for Starbucks and absolutely love being by the beach. My next adventure will be to Nocatee.
In my free time I love to go to the beach and pet all the dogs I can, and find shark teeth. I love to ride my bike, spend time with friends, and I visit neighbors with dogs so I can give them treats and rubbins. I also like working on fundraisers for the military as last year I was privileged to work on a fundraiser for K-9’s For Warriors.
Pets have always been a part of my life. I grew up with Black Labs and an Irish Setter. When I moved out on my own I had a Doberman and lastly a Rhodesian Ridgeback and hound mix. My love for pets is energizing and it brings me complete joy to take care of them. I became a Certified Professional Pet Sitter 2 ½ years ago but have been caring for pets for many more years before. I am a responsible, organized and dedicated person who wants to share the love and kindness with your fur babies. I joined 9 to 5 Pets to follow my dream and passion to be a professional pet sitter and because of all the core values it stands for. My personal promise to you is to bring you peace of mind by cherishing your fur babies as if they were my own, to keep them safe and their tails wagging. I look forward to serving you!
Penny Campbell
Hi! My name is Penny Campbell. I was born in Bushnell, Florida but raised in a small town in Southern Illinois. After graduating from Business School in the St. Louis, Missouri area I moved to Southern California where I later graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a degree in Business Management along with an associate’s degree in accounting. I also met and married my husband Rich in the picturesque setting of Yosemite National Park with Yosemite Falls in the background.
I have now come full circle by making Florida my home once again in the great city of Jacksonville where I have lived for the past 7 ½ years enjoying everything this city has to offer.
My passions include reading, health and fitness, hiking, horseback riding, and playing with my beautiful fur babies Hedi and Gunner. Hedi is my somewhat stubborn city gal, and Gunner is my laid-back country boy. I’ve also been fortunate to have other dogs and cats in my life throughout the years that will always have a place in my heart.
After recently retiring from 30+ years in accounting/management, I am ready to begin the next chapter of my life as part of the 9 To 5 Pets team. I love that 9 To 5 Pets is all about Professionalism, Convenience, Dedication, Integrity and Love which is why this is a such a great fit!
I can’t wait to meet you and begin my journey in caring for and loving your wonderful fur babies!
Alex Hills
Greetings! My name is Alex. I moved from South Florida to Jacksonville in 2005 where I attended the University of North Florida. I quickly fell in love with the Jacksonville Beaches and surrounding communities, so I knew I was sticking around after graduation. I completed a degree in education, and quickly accepted a teaching position with an elementary school in Mandarin, where I taught math and science for nearly 10 years! My free time is typically spent enjoying my backyard, but I also pass the time by gardening, playing music, and running to stay fit.
In 2007 I adopted a mixed breed puppy named George, and he has since been with me for every part of my journey. George has taught me a lot about pet ownership and all the ups and downs that it can bring. This year, he turned 16-years-old! I have shared a home with many other animals through the years, and they come and go, but George has been with me the entire time.
In 2020 a Staffordshire terrier named Mama joined the pack. Mama was found abandoned in the Jacksonville Southside area and brought to me temporarily before finding a foster home for her. The next morning I knew that she already found her home, and we started the work of adjusting her to her new life!
I will never know Mama’s history, and she came with significant physical and behavioral challenges (injury/surgery/aggression), but with care and persistence she has become a beloved part of my family. George has had a long and eventful life, but now has mobility and other issues that sometimes come with aging. My past and current experience with my own pets has given me a wide range of competency when it comes to pet care. Being a pet care professional with 9 to 5 pets allows me to provide care for the pets of other families around Jacksonville, and I look forward to doing so! You can rest assured that your family members, big or small, will be safe and happy under my care.
Natalie Stewart
Hello! My name is Natalie! I was born and raised here in Jacksonville! I’m a huge pet lover and have devoted most of my life to helping pets. Growing up I always had an animal and they were always the best part of my day and that still applies to today! I started working at a pet store when I was 17! I was promoted soon after being hired and I managed that place for three years. After that, I started working at a dog day care, then kennel work, and lastly a vet tech. I’m very well versed on all things pet! I’m also not picky when it comes to pets! I have owned anything from hamsters, frogs, snakes, ferrets, to cats and dogs. I have loved being a vet tech and have acquired knowledge that I can use not only for this job but with my own animals! I hope to spread my knowledge and use it to help your pet in anyway I can or to hopefully catch problems before they become issues. I promise to show nothing but compassion and patience towards your pet! To always put your pet first and focus on their wants and needs. I can’t wait for your pet to become a part of my family!
Alex Ossi
Hello! My name is Alex Ossi and I am a 23 year old recent graduate from Florida State University. I am currently living with my parents here in Ponte Vedra Beach while I work to save money and build up my Real Estate career. I have lived in the same house in Ponte Vedra my whole life, apart from my four years at Florida State. I have always had a very strong connection with animals, having a few dogs, a cat, and a rabbit growing up. I find great enjoyment being around and caring for all animals, which is the main reason I am usually the go-to person for my family and friends when they need someone to take care of their pets. My family’s current pet is our beloved Jake, the 10.5-year-old Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. He has been the best dog we have ever had; he is such a sweetheart and loves to hunt lizards. We also had one yellow lab, and one black lab (who weighed 120lbs!) when I was growing up.
I have recently joined with Keller Williams at their Jacksonville Beach office and am in the process of building up my Real Estate business. It is a long and slow process, so I decided to earn money and fill up my free time with a second job. I discovered 9 to 5 Pets because I am great family friends with many of the current and past teammates, who have told me countless times how rewarding and great the company is. 9 to 5 Pets seemed like a perfect fit for me, with my strong desire to be reliable and my will to work, paired with my love for animals. I look forward to meeting you and your pets soon!
Lauren Bradley
My name is Lauren Bradley, and I was born and raised in the Saint Johns County area. I currently live in beacon lake off of 210 near Nocatee, but I spend most of my time in Ponte Vedra. I also spend time in Atlantic Beach all the way down to Saint Augustine. What can I say, I am a beach girl and always have been.
I recently joined Keller Williams Atlantic Partners at their Southside office as a Realtor. I enjoy the people and the training that Keller Williams provides. We truly are the best company out there. I am currently in the process of building up my real estate business, but it is a slow process. Since I do have free time in the real estate business, I decided I wanted to spend more of my time with animals. I have been around animals ever since I was a little girl. My mom used to have German shepherds which are one of my favorite breeds of dogs, but I really do love all pets. My grandparents had boxers for years which made us get boxers when I was born and we had them up until I was about 10 years old. We adopted 2 chihuahuas that were brother and sister. Unfortunately, the sister passed away a few years ago so now we have my beamer boy who is now 13 years old. He is one of the sweetest dogs I have owned. I also have a 3-year-old cat named Linx that I saved off of the side of the ride when he was about 5 weeks old. I pulled over and he came running up to me, he was just the cutest little boy. My boyfriend also owns a Great Dane and she is VERY energetic, so I tell myself, if you can handle her then I can handle anything haha. I have years of experience caring for animals of all shapes and sizes. I have always had a love and passion for animals.
As a pet owner myself, I can understand having a little anxiety when you are away from your fur friends, but I promise you, at 9 to 5 Pets I will treat your pets like they are my own. I look forward to meeting all of you and your wonderful pets soon!
Jennifer Tatum
Hi everyone! My name is Jennifer Tatum and I am so excited to be working for 9 to 5 Pets!
While much of my background and bachelor degree is in Musical Theatre, my real passion is in caring for others – whether they have 4 legs or 2! For the last ten years I have worked in various capacities of the medical field as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, from the office, to hospital floors, to the ER. My experiences cultivated a passion for mental health, and down the road I might consider pursuing a career as an Expressive Arts or Dance Movement Therapist. But I have just as much love and compassion for caring for the sweet little furry blessings in our lives – if not more! I am a huge animal person with a love of all creatures big and small, and from childhood to today there has never been a time when I didn’t live with all kinds of animals in the house – from dogs and cats, to geckos, rats and a horse, but she didn’t live in the house!
I was born and raised in Knoxville, TN, but life recently led me to be with my Mom and older brother here in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL so that I can focus on my family. The other things that fill my heart with joy are my music, dancing, bike riding, cooking, binge watching tv shows, and honestly loving on an animal for as long as it will let me! (I was also going to say hiking but I’ve discovered it’s a little different here than in Tennessee in that it’s all flat!)
Enough about me, because I am here for you and the precious furry ones of your family! Your comfort and peace of mind, as well as your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities – and I am confident that my attention to detail, medical background, and deep connection with animals will help you breathe a sigh of relief while you are away from home. I would be honored by the opportunity to be entrusted in their care!
Tristen Lucessi
Hey there! My name is Tristen Lucessi. I am originally from California but moved to Jacksonville in the second grade. Growing up on both coasts I’ve been blessed with the luxury of always being near the ocean. I love the beach and being able to get out of the house and just be a part of nature. Hiking, fishing, skateboarding, snowboarding, and pretty much anything else that gets me out in the sun I’m there for.
As long as I can remember I’ve always had animals in my life. My mother is a bit of a California stereotype, being that she has always lived the “nomadic/hippie lifestyle” which always included a plethora of furry friends. At one point I believe we had something like 5 cats, 2 dogs, a couple hamsters, and an African grey parrot named Peatree. At times it did feel like a zoo, but I wouldn’t have wished for anything else. Having this opportunity to be a part of your pets’, and by extension, your families’ lives is a true pleasure, and I very much look forward to providing all the love and care your pets deserve.
Derek Fenton
Hello! My name is Derek Fenton, I’m 23 years old and am a student at UNF, on the route to medical school. I’ve lived in Jacksonville my entire life apart from my first two years at the University of South Carolina. When not working I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I’m very much so into baseball, soccer, and boxing as I played those sports my whole life. Right now I have 2 Scottish folds named Bella and Berry, 2 Scottish straights named Bambi and Snow Bob and a puppy Dalmatian named Juniper! I have done volunteer work at the humane society and have been surrounded by pets my entire life. My love and passion for animals is what truly drove me to join the 9-5 Pets team and I’m looking forward to meeting all of your animals! I’m committed to providing the same level of care and attention to your pets as I do for my own. Whether it’s playtime, feeding, or just keeping them company, I’m here to ensure they’re happy, safe, and comfortable while you’re away.
Vicki Corwin
Hello there! I’m Vicki, a passionate outdoors enthusiast and animal lover with a heart full of love for our furry friends. For the past six wonderful years, I’ve called the sunny city of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, my home, but my journey started in Ohio, where I developed a lifelong bond with animals.
From a young age, I’ve shared my life with pets. Growing up, my family had a beloved cat who taught me about companionship and the joy that animals bring into our lives. Fast forward to today, and I’m the proud owner of a 15-year-old Dachshund named Luigi. He’s been my faithful companion, and together, we’ve explored the beautiful outdoor spaces that Ponte Vedra and Jacksonville Beach has to offer.
One of my greatest joys is being outdoors, and the area’s natural beauty provides the perfect playground for me and my four-legged friends. Whether it’s a hike in one of the local parks or a leisurely stroll along the beach, I believe that every pet deserves a taste of the great outdoors. I understand the importance of having a reliable and loving pet sitter, as I’ve personally experienced the worry and concern that can come with leaving your beloved pets behind. That’s why I’ve dedicated myself to not only providing exceptional care for my own animals but also extending my expertise to the pets of family, friends, and neighbors.
Now, I’m excited to announce that I’m taking my passion for animals and the experience I’ve gained over the years to the next level by joining 9 to 5 Pets. Whether you need someone to look after your cherished cats, dogs, or any other furry family member, I’m here to provide them with the love, attention, and care they deserve while you’re away. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry companions, offering them the same love and attention I give to Luigi!
Velvet Edwards
Hello, my name is Velvet and I am very excited about this opportunity to be a part of the 9 to 5 Pets Team! I moved to the Jacksonville area about 2 years ago and currently live in Atlantic Beach. I was born and raised in central Illinois but am loving all the things Florida has to offer. I’ve been a paramedic for 23 years and my other two passions are animals and photography. There’s never been a time in my life that I didn’t have dogs and cats. I have volunteered and fostered for many rescues in my life. I currently have 5 little dogs, they are all seniors and all rescues. I love all animals, but seniors and special needs animals hold a special place in my heart. I am excited to leave behind my medical career and start a new chapter taking care and loving your animals as you would love and care for them. I’m ready to meet you all and your wonderful fur babies!
Amber Pineda
Hi I’m Amber! I’m a Florida native and grew up between Jacksonville Beach and St Augustine! I lived around the US for the last 10 years and have made my way back to the relaxed beach vibes of Jax Beach. I’m here to shower your furry friends with love and care!
My passion for animals has led me into the world of pet sitting. As a seasoned dog walker, I understand the joy and companionship that our four-legged pals bring to our lives. While I don’t have a pup of my own at the moment, pet-sitting is the perfect way for me to channel my animal-loving energy!
Whether you have a playful puppy bursting with energy or a wise old tail-wagger, I am comfortable and experienced in taking care of dogs of all ages. I’ve had the pleasure of watching over a variety of adorable breeds over my years with Rover.
My goal is to make new pet buddies and ensure they’re as happy as can be during our time together. You can count on me to provide the loving and energetic care that your furry friends deserve. Plus, I’m more than willing to travel around Ponte Vedra Beach to cater to your pet’s needs.
Bri Spinner
Hi there! My name is Bri and I am a proud member of the 9 to 5 Pets team! I was born and raised here in Jacksonville, Florida and have lived in the Ponte Vedra area for the last 10 years. What I love most about this area is how pet friendly it is. From dog parks, to seeing everyone bring their pups to the beach, on golf carts and even to outside restaurants! The atmosphere is great!
I was lucky enough to grow up being surrounded by all types of animals…from dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, turtles, and horses! I have been pet sitting and nannying in the Nocatee/Ponte Vedra area for the past 5 years and have loved every second of it. I have fallen in love with each family and every pet I have had the pleasure of taking care of and building that relationship with them all.
I am currently in the Bachelors Program for Child Psychology at UNF and was looking for a job in my area where I could be surrounded by animals and 9 to 5 Pets was the perfect place for me! Having 2 of my own dogs right now, one being Toby who is a 17 year old yorkie rescue and the other named Robin who is a 7 year old Pit Bull rescue, they are my world! Having to go away from them is already hard enough at times but I like to make sure they are well taken care of and their routine stays intact!
Having a passion for wellness and fitness, 9 to 5 Pets shares that passion. This team is full of amazing people who share that same passion of pet care. I treat each precious fur baby as I would my own! It takes a lot of trust for someone to allow us to take care of their pet in their home, and I highly respect that. With that being said, I can’t wait to meet many more precious fur babies and make this experience a great one for not only your fur baby but for you as well!
Aidan Richter
Hello! My name is Aidan Richter, I was born in Jacksonville but grew up in Ponte Vedra Beach, where I currently live. I love animals and making them happy, I believe they are like family and should lead the happiest, fullest lives! I’m currently getting my realtor license, outside of that my passion is helping others and most importantly taking care of pets. I can’t wait to meet your fur-babies and give them all the care and TLC while you’re away!
Payton Gould
Hello! My name is Payton. I’m from a little town in Missouri but was raised here in Jacksonville, Florida. I grew up with my grandparents in a household that welcomed any and all pets. Since I was little, I have always been the one to never shy away from animals no matter the kind. My family would always joke and call me “animal whisperer” because I could quickly bond and I love them all. I have always been drawn to wildlife, the ocean specifically, so it’s a dream of mine to become a marine biologist!
I have years of experience caring for the pets of friends and family, I’ve also worked as a care provider and receptionist at 2 local facilities that provide vet, boarding and grooming services; so I absolutely love being surrounded by pets!
I had to take some time away because we welcomed our beautiful baby girl back in November of 2021. ‘New mom’ life is chaotic but beautiful and it keeps me on my toes!! It’s my pleasure to be a part of the 9 to 5 Pets Team and get back to the world of animals! I look forward to being able to help out and care for your fur babies like they are my own!!
Ashlyn Leonard
Hi! My name is Ashlyn! I live in Mandarin. I grew up on a farm and worked with all sorts of animals, such as horses, pigs, goats, dogs and cats. I also have some experience working with reptiles. My grandma was a Wheaten terrier breeder and I helped her out all of the time with her puppies and dogs. I’ve always been around animals my whole life. I genuinely love being around animals and I’m very passionate about caring for them. I currently have a German Shepherd and a Belgian Malinois that I love! I am working toward my Associate in Arts degree at Saint Johns River State College. From there, I plan to enroll at a university and complete a bachelor’s degree in biology. I have been around animals my entire life. Growing up I had dogs, cats, hamsters, rabbits, horses, chickens, and geese. Being surrounded by animals influenced me to choose biology as my major. In my free time, I love to read, embroider, and cook. I also enjoy numerous outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, tubing, fishing, and swimming. Madi Hagen
Hello, my name is Madi Hagen, and I am thrilled to be part of the 9 to 5 Pets team! Growing up near the ocean, I developed a profound appreciation for nature and animals. Now, I reside in Saint Augustine with my fiancé and our five beloved pets, embracing every moment of this beautiful place.
From a young age, my family surrounded me with a variety of pets. My father’s extraordinary collection of saltwater fish tanks ignited my fascination with aquatic life, while my mother’s innate ability to connect with animals instilled in me a deep love and nurturing spirit. We had a diverse menagerie, including cats, dogs, finches, parakeets, guinea pigs, a ball python, an iguana, and more. Additionally, we spent several years fostering dogs, cats, and even birds, helping them find their forever homes.
For the past four years, I have dedicated myself to my true passion: working with animals. As an experienced pet care professional in the doggie daycare and boarding industry, I have gained extensive knowledge about various dog breeds and their specific care needs. My collaboration with several veterinarians has further enriched my understanding of animal care. I ensure every pet receives the highest quality attention and affection, consistently going above and beyond to make each one feel loved and secure. My reliability and personalized approach provide pet owners with a peace of mind while they are away.
I eagerly look forward to meeting everyone and their pets. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity.
Michael Graham
Hi, my name is Michael, and I am a Jacksonville, Florida native. I love visiting the beautiful parks around our area with my wife, 4 yr daughter and our very energetic Yorkie Bambi. I enjoy being outdoors around animals, pets, and wildlife. It provides me with positivity and optimism. I have been in the veterinary field for over five years and have gained a wealth of knowledge in triage care and preventative care. While working in the veterinary field, I have gained insight into both sides of care, understanding that our pets are family members. Care must be precise and effective, addressing both medical and preventative needs. Therefore, any instructions should be followed precisely. Like I mentioned earlier, pets are family, and I cannot wait to provide loving care to your fur babies!
Alysia Mencia
Hi! My name is Alysia Mencia. I was born in Pennsylvania but I’ve lived most of my life in St. Augustine, Florida. I am currently working towards an Associate’s Degree at St. Johns River State College where I then hope to transfer universities for a bachelor’s in biology in the near future.
I currently have two amazing pups Mila and Jango as well as a 2 year old parakeet named Kylo! Mila is a 6 month old jack Russell terrier mix and Jango is a 5 month old mini Australian shepherd. Both of which have been amazing and have grown to become inseparable from each other!
Throughout my life I have realized that there is nothing more rewarding than the love you have for your pets! It has even encouraged me to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. Because of this, I have naturally gravitated towards working with all different types of animals. I have lots of experience working with dogs and cats professionally; as well as more exotic pets like fish, birds, guinea pigs, lizards etc. personally through friends and family pets!
Amanda Loveland
Hi, I’m Amanda! I grew up in Ponte Vedra Beach, studied at UNF, and I’m a cat mom to kitty, Kira. I am a full time pet sitter in Ponte Vedra Beach and the surrounding areas. I love what I do because it creates flexibility and variety in my day to day life, and the best part is spending time with animals! I rescued Kira 2 years ago after wanting a kitty for nearly a decade, and she is such a huge joy in my life; I absolutely spoil her at home! I also, love to travel and go camping; so I know what it means to have that peace of mind while away from home. I’m excited and happy to be your furbabies support while you are away!
