Shannon Pinkava

Client Service Manager

Hey there, my name is Shannon! I recently got out of the Navy as an honorable Veteran. I served 3 and a half years and it was a really great experience. I grew up in Fleming Island from 1994-2010 and moved away for about 10 years. I enlisted in the Navy in 2022 and ended up getting stationed at NAS Jax so I’ve been here ever since! I have the most amazing fiancée and we’re excited to get married in December!

My first dog was a German Shepherd/Basset Hound mix named Finn who sadly passed away in 2023. We currently have two Dachshunds named Murphy and Opie and they’re the greatest. In my free time, I enjoy taking our boys to the dog park or on adventures. I also love spending time with my family and friends, going to the beach to look for shark’s teeth or going on runs with my fiancée. I fostered and re-homed 12 dogs in 2012 when I was working with Cause for Paws in Raleigh, NC. More recently I’ve worked as a pet sitter/dog walker around the Jacksonville area. I’ve worked in a few different office positions from being an HVAC dispatcher to an order processor for a tile and stone company in Atlanta.

I was so thrilled when I saw the Client Service Manager position available with 9 to 5 Pets because I love organizing and schedules but most importantly our furry friends! I couldn’t think of a more perfect position for myself. I would definitely consider myself a people person and very customer service oriented. I’ll excel at this position because I’m very methodical and organized with a slight touch of OCD. 😉

I feel incredibly lucky to be a part of the team and look forward to giving our clients and their pets the best care possible. The staff is the heartbeat of the company and I will make sure all of their needs are met on a personal and professional basis.

Kim McCune

Field Team Manager & Recruiter

Hello! My name is Kim McCune. I am so excited to have the role of Field Team Manager and Recruiter with 9 to 5 Pets! My family and I are originally from Tennessee but we’ve lived in the beaches area of Jacksonville for 26 years now and I consider myself a local! I have three amazing kids that I’ve raised here; my oldest daughter has flown the coop but my son and youngest daughter live with me. We love our beach lifestyle!

Growing up, my mom called me ‘Ellie May Clampett’ since I would come home with all kinds of ‘lost’ creatures from snapping turtles, snakes, raccoons, foxes, birds, rabbits; you name it I’ve had it! We currently have three pups; Tank who is a 14 yr old 7lb poodle mix rescue, Brisket an 8 yr old feisty Chihuahua mix rescue and Karma a 1 yr old giant Doodle floof. Our kitties are all rescues as well; Chloe who is 17, Ruby is 9 and Copper is 9 months. Never a dull moment in our house!

My position with 9 to 5 Pets gives me the opportunity to do 2 things I enjoy most: meeting new people and their pets and training our teammates in the field. My former career in the railroad industry will allow me to put my experience to great use with 9 to 5 Pets. I began as a Customer Service Representative and worked up to my last role as a manager of a specialized group of 5 in Transport Technology. My role was to meet and train all of our customers and crew on our web based rail management system. I loved meeting and helping people from all types of backgrounds! I also conducted interviews, held town hall meetings for new customers and led training classes for employees. I left the railroad in order to be closer to home for my youngest daughter who is special needs. This new path enables me to do what I love and still dedicate time to my kiddo!

I am so excited to join the 9 to 5 Pets family! I look forward to working with everyone and helping to make sure our clients have the best pet care experience possible!

Hi there! My name is Bri and I am a proud member of the 9 to 5 Pets team! I was born and raised here in Jacksonville, Florida and have lived in the Ponte Vedra area for the last 10 years. What I love most about this area is how pet friendly it is. From dog parks, to seeing everyone bring their pups to the beach, on golf carts and even to outside restaurants! The atmosphere is great!

I was lucky enough to grow up being surrounded by all types of animals…from dogs, cats, hamsters, fish, turtles, and horses! I have been pet sitting and nannying in the Nocatee/Ponte Vedra area for the past 5 years and have loved every second of it. I have fallen in love with each family and every pet I have had the pleasure of taking care of and building that relationship with them all.

I am currently in the Bachelors Program for Child Psychology at UNF and was looking for a job in my area where I could be surrounded by animals and 9 to 5 Pets was the perfect place for me! Having 2 of my own dogs right now, one being Toby who is a 17 year old yorkie rescue and the other named Robin who is a 7 year old Pit Bull rescue, they are my world! Having to go away from them is already hard enough at times but I like to make sure they are well taken care of and their routine stays intact!

Having a passion for wellness and fitness, 9 to 5 Pets shares that passion. This team is full of amazing people who share that same passion of pet care. I treat each precious fur baby as I would my own! It takes a lot of trust for someone to allow us to take care of their pet in their home, and I highly respect that. With that being said, I can’t wait to meet many more precious fur babies and make this experience a great one for not only your fur baby but for you as well!

Greetings! My name is Alex. I moved from South Florida to Jacksonville in 2005 where I attended the University of North Florida. I quickly fell in love with the Jacksonville Beaches and surrounding communities, so I knew I was sticking around after graduation. I completed a degree in education, and quickly accepted a teaching position with an elementary school in Mandarin, where I taught math and science for nearly 10 years! My free time is typically spent enjoying my backyard, but I also pass the time by gardening, playing music, and running to stay fit.

In 2007 I adopted a mixed breed puppy named George, and he has since been with me for every part of my journey. George has taught me a lot about pet ownership and all the ups and downs that it can bring. This year, he turned 16-years-old! I have shared a home with many other animals through the years, and they come and go, but George has been with me the entire time.

In 2020 a Staffordshire terrier named Mama joined the pack. Mama was found abandoned in the Jacksonville Southside area and brought to me temporarily before finding a foster home for her. The next morning I knew that she already found her home, and we started the work of adjusting her to her new life!

I will never know Mama’s history, and she came with significant physical and behavioral challenges (injury/surgery/aggression), but with care and persistence she has become a beloved part of my family. George has had a long and eventful life, but now has mobility and other issues that sometimes come with aging. My past and current experience with my own pets has given me a wide range of competency when it comes to pet care. Being a pet care professional with 9 to 5 pets allows me to provide care for the pets of other families around Jacksonville, and I look forward to doing so! You can rest assured that your family members, big or small, will be safe and happy under my care.

In my free time, I love going to the gym, exploring downtown St. Augustine, and nature walks with friends. As a dog mom to two furry friends, I adore taking them to PetSmart for new toys.

With a passion for animals, I’ve gained valuable experience through my animal science class at Frank H. Peterson Academy and a 250-hour internship at an animal hospital. I worked as a certified vet assistant at San Marco Animal Hospital, sharpening my skills in animal care.

I’m committed to providing top-notch care and attention to every pet, building long-term relationships with clients, and communicating effectively to ensure the best possible care. I can’t wait to meet you and your pets!

Hi, my name is Cierra! I come from a proud military family and was originally raised in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. After living in Jupiter, Florida, I recently relocated to the St. John’s area with my dad. Animals have always been a big part of my life—my family has always had pets ranging from small to large breeds, and my grandpa even served as a K9 handler for the police force.

Over the years, I’ve cared for pets belonging to family, friends, and neighbors, and I now have a rescue of my own—Duke, a German Shepherd–Husky mix who is truly my pride and joy. Growing up, I also spent time volunteering with an organization called Furry Friends, which deepened my love for helping animals.

Outside of pet care, I played competitive softball for years and was offered a full-ride scholarship to the University of South Florida before injuries led me to pursue a different path. Looking ahead, I plan to follow in my family’s footsteps by joining the Army in the Criminal Investigation Division to become a Special Agent.

Caring for animals has always brought me so much happiness, and I’m excited to bring that same love, attention, and dedication to your pets as if they were my own. I can’t wait to meet you and your fur babies!

HI EVERYONE! I’m so glad to be here! My name is Elisha Celestin and I’m a graduate of the University of North Florida, Class of 2018. Born in New Jersey and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. Originally from Oakleaf, but I recently made the move to the beautiful Ponte Vedra area. I’m very much enjoying my walks throughout the community and waving to new friendly faces. So feel free to say hi if you see me around!

I’ve always had a passion for exploring arts & cultures whether it’s traveling to new places inside or outside the US, soaking in nature, or visiting a new exhibit, museum or music festival, being blown away by architecture and monuments, or simply eating at a new unique local restaurant. From outdoor adventures like kayaking or sightseeing to indoor activities like hockey games or a scary movie marathon! I love finding new ways to enjoy life and make meaningful memories.

I used to share my family home and heart with my beloved Shiba, may she rest in peace. Shiba was a cherished part of my family’s life for 15 wonderful years. We adopted her in 2006, and she was a beautiful mix of Chow, Golden Lab, and Husky and even with her thick fur and endless energy, she was always happiest soaking up the sun and catching lizards in our backyard. I especially loved taking her on walks and spending time together exercising. During my high school years, she was my workout buddy while I was competing in weightlifting, always by my side and keeping me moving. She truly got whatever she wanted, and she gave us just as much in return.

I am a lifelong animal lover(favorite animals: lions, tigers, elephants, polar bears and pandas) with a warm heart for four-legged companions and a background that blends care, reliability, and professionalism. My love for pets began with my family dog and through my involvement with Delta Gamma’s philanthropy, I developed a deeper appreciation for the important role animals play in our lives. I had the opportunity to work closely with organizations supporting visual assistance and service animal training as I had vision complications at a young age and was blessed to have surgery so it’s a cause that continues to be close to my heart and I try to pay it forward as much as I can.

Professionally, I bring experience across entertainment venues, wealth management, administration, and marketing fields that have sharpened my attention to detail, time management, and communication skills. I show up with energy, organization, and a genuine heart. I promise to combine my practical experience with genuine affection to make sure your pet feels safe, loved, and cared for like family.

Thank you for taking a moment to get to know me. I can’t wait to connect and get to know your furry babies!

Hello! My name is Abigail Norton and I’m originally from Oak Ridge, Tennessee. My family moved to Kingsland, Georgia when I was 10, and I moved to Jacksonville in 2023 for work and university. Moving to Georgia allowed me to discover my love of nature and science along the coast, and my passion has flourished since then!

I began working in the veterinary field when I was 15 and have learned many things along the way. Growing up with animals in the house helped a lot, as I believe the relationship between a person and their furry companion is uniquely special! I met my soul dog when I was 7, my dad got him as an anniversary present for my mom, but we had a connection the moment he came home. His name was Wicket and he was a basset hound/great pyrenees mix. Strange, right? I had never loved anything more, and everything I do related to animals is dedicated to him.

When I moved to Jacksonville, I began working at a vet clinic close to my university. This clinic taught me most of what I know now about the ever-changing field of veterinary science including animal behavior and basic medical knowledge. I can’t wait to use that knowledge to care for your fur babies the same way I’d want mine cared for!

Aloha, I’m Mike! I was born in Hawaii but grew up in North Carolina. As an adult, I had the opportunity to move back to the Islands where my wife and I raised our daughter and I spent over twenty years working in technology and marketing.

Five years ago, my wife and I made the decision to move back to Florida to be closer to our family. My wife, a teacher, is originally from Florida. Although it’s my first time living here, I’ve visited this area for decades and have a deep affection for the history and natural beauty.

My mom and dad loved animals and I have lived with cats and dogs since I was a boy. My family shares our home with two dogs and two rescue cats.

When my family went on vacation a few years ago, we hired 9 to 5 Pets to look after our pets. In-home pet care versus boarding while we were on vacation made our trip so much more enjoyable! We were updated with pictures and details letting us know what our children were up to, and that they were fine. I was so impressed with the phenomenal service, I decided that if I ever made a career change, I would love to be a part of the team that made both my family and our pets feel so secure and happy!

After this experience, it’s hard to recommend anyone board their pet if they have the option for in-home care. I’m delighted to provide your pets with the same exceptional care that 9 to 5 Pets provided my family.

Hello! My name is Alex Ossi and I am a 23 year old recent graduate from Florida State University. I am currently living with my parents here in Ponte Vedra Beach while I work to save money and build up my Real Estate career. I have lived in the same house in Ponte Vedra my whole life, apart from my four years at Florida State. I have always had a very strong connection with animals, having a few dogs, a cat, and a rabbit growing up. I find great enjoyment being around and caring for all animals, which is the main reason I am usually the go-to person for my family and friends when they need someone to take care of their pets. My family’s current pet is our beloved Jake, the 10.5-year-old Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. He has been the best dog we have ever had; he is such a sweetheart and loves to hunt lizards. We also had one yellow lab, and one black lab (who weighed 120lbs!) when I was growing up.

I have recently joined with Keller Williams at their Jacksonville Beach office and am in the process of building up my Real Estate business. It is a long and slow process, so I decided to earn money and fill up my free time with a second job. I discovered 9 to 5 Pets because I am great family friends with many of the current and past teammates, who have told me countless times how rewarding and great the company is. 9 to 5 Pets seemed like a perfect fit for me, with my strong desire to be reliable and my will to work, paired with my love for animals. I look forward to meeting you and your pets soon!

Hi everyone! My name is Jennifer Tatum and I am so excited to be working for 9 to 5 Pets!
While much of my background and bachelor degree is in Musical Theatre, my real passion is in caring for others – whether they have 4 legs or 2! For the last ten years I have worked in various capacities of the medical field as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, from the office, to hospital floors, to the ER. My experiences cultivated a passion for mental health, and down the road I might consider pursuing a career as an Expressive Arts or Dance Movement Therapist. But I have just as much love and compassion for caring for the sweet little furry blessings in our lives – if not more! I am a huge animal person with a love of all creatures big and small, and from childhood to today there has never been a time when I didn’t live with all kinds of animals in the house – from dogs and cats, to geckos, rats and a horse, but she didn’t live in the house!
I was born and raised in Knoxville, TN, but life recently led me to be with my Mom and older brother here in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL so that I can focus on my family. The other things that fill my heart with joy are my music, dancing, bike riding, cooking, binge watching tv shows, and honestly loving on an animal for as long as it will let me! (I was also going to say hiking but I’ve discovered it’s a little different here than in Tennessee in that it’s all flat!)
Enough about me, because I am here for you and the precious furry ones of your family! Your comfort and peace of mind, as well as your pet’s safety and happiness are my top priorities – and I am confident that my attention to detail, medical background, and deep connection with animals will help you breathe a sigh of relief while you are away from home. I would be honored by the opportunity to be entrusted in their care!

Hi! My name is Payton Gould. I’ve lived in Jacksonville for most of my life. I grew up at the beaches, and now I reside in the Bartram area. From an early age, animals have been at the center of my life.

My journey with 9 to 5 Pets began when I joined the team as a Pet Care Professional, and it has been such a joy caring for so many of our clients over the years. I also get to share this experience with my daughter and little sidekick, Milani. She’s just as passionate about animals as I am, and together we make a dynamic duo in the field! For a time, I also served as one of our Client Service Managers, which gave me the opportunity to support our clients in a different capacity. While I truly valued that experience, I found my greatest joy lies in hands-on care. I’m so happy to be back as a Pet Care Professional and Pack Leader for our amazing teammates across Mandarin, Bartram, St. Johns, Nocatee, and St. Augustine. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of our clients’ needs, the importance of trust and consistency in pet care, and the strong bonds we form with the pets and families we serve.

This company means so much to me — not just as a place of work, but as a community built on integrity, compassion, and a shared mission to provide the highest level of care. I hold our values, our team, and the families we work with close to my heart. It brings me so much joy to be part of something that truly makes a difference!
